Team Pescador’s Consistency Outlasts the Competition to Win 2021 Bermuda Triple Crown Billfish Championship

Hamilton Bermuda – Team Pescador, an 80’ Bayliss led by owner Steve Deckoff from the USVI with Captain Jeremy Fowler and mate Mark Jenkins, will forever remember their fourth visit to Bermuda. The team started strong releasing three blue marlin during the Billfish Blast to earn 1500-points placing them in seventh after the first leg of the series. Team Pescador’s consistency continued adding three blue marlin releases during the Big Game Classic placing third and moving them to series leader position with 3,000-points heading into the final leg. The fishing was slow during the Sea Horse Anglers Club Billfish Tournament with Pescador’s blue marlin release on the first day being key in the tie breaker to come.

This release gave Pescador 3500-points with two days of fishing in 18-knot winds to go. In a nail biter, Pescador’s 3500-points on time gave them the win over a charging field. The team on Pescador, consisting of Steve Deckoff, John Deckoff, Steven Deckoff, Dan Exell, Nealey Gietisen, Jane Rollins, Captain Jeremy Fowler and mate Mark Jenkins, receive the Champion rings from VanMark Jewelry Designers, the Bodo Muche champion bronze trophy, Garmin Quatix 6 watches, AFTCO Champions apparel, Bacardi spirits, the Release Marine Custom Trophy, Steve Goione BTC limited edition prints, King Sailfish Mounts Trophies, Costa Sunglasses, Yeti Cooler, OluKai shoes, Penn Reel and Big T Custom Lures.
