The entry fee for the Bermuda Triple Crown optional jackpot is $5,000, with the available purse paying 50 percent, 30 percent and 20 percent to the top three teams.
The Bermuda Triple Crown winner has always received champions rings, quality prizes and accolades for their performances in the Bermuda Billfish Blast, Bermuda Big Game Classic and Sea Horse Anglers Club Billfish tournaments. Now winning fishing teams have the opportunity to win extra cash too. Starting in 2019, a new Bermuda Triple Crown Optional Jackpot pays out to the top three winners of the Bermuda Triple Crown.
“We always listen to our participants, and this has been a subject of discussion for a few years now,” said tournament director Dan Jacobs. “Feedback so far has been great, and we expect many teams to participate in the optional division.”

Teams must register before the first tournament leg starts, Jacobs points out. An opportune time to sign up is during the final registration and captains meeting for the Bermuda Billfish Blast on July 3.
